About the Sonoma County Climate Activist Network

 The Sonoma County Climate Activist Network (SoCoCAN!) is a strong and active network of 50+ local climate change groups and over 100 individuals.  We are climate activist groups and individuals working together to address and reverse climate change.  We formed on July 31, 2017 at our first climate activists summit.  We have been active in supporting several successes through local government in particular with municipal endorsement of public banking, the recent passing of city and county climate emergency declarations, passing several local All Electric Reach Code ordinances, stopping gas station developments, community compost facilities, and others.  When we support each other and work together we succeed.
We meet on months with a 5th Monday.  Currently we meet on Zoom. Meeting dates will be posted online or contact us at [email protected].  Join our listserv for lively discussion and information sharing.  Network support is available for all local climate activism.
