Emergency Climate Resolutions
In 2019 eight of nine jurisdictions in Sonoma County passed emergency climate resolutions focusing on a just transition away from fossil fuels and urgent collaborative climate mobilization efforts. Rohnert Park is the only jurisdiction in Sonoma County that has not yet passed a resolution.
September 10, 2018, the State of California’s Governor Brown issued an executive order establishing a 2045 statewide target to achieve carbon neutrality, and on the same day, Senate Bill 100 was passed, which sets a 100% clean electricity goal for the State by 2045.
