Jenny Blaker spent her childhood in India, came from England to Cotati over 20 years ago and has been an advocate for a range of local environmental issues ever since. She is a Fellow of the Leadership Institute for Ecology & the Economy (2002), graduated with an MA degree in "Action for a Viable Future" from SSU (2006) and was Cotati Citizen of the Year (2007). She helped start Cotati Creek Critters, a community-based habitat restoration project on the Laguna de Santa Rosa in Cotati (1997-2012); Sonoma Solidarity with Standing Rock (2016-now); and most recently the Coalition Opposing New Gas Stations (CONGAS).
Jenny Blaker, along with Woody Hastings, will present the latest from the CONGAS and their focused effort on stopping the construction of new gas stations in Sonoma County. |
